POSITION: Marketing and Communications Director Full time position with benefits
WHERE: Butler YMCA 339 North Washington Street, Butler PA
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
 Previous professional experience with strategic planning, membership, marketing and/or sales required.
 Knowledge of marketing and public relations principles, proven success in marketing using social media outlets.
 Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
 Must have good interpersonal, public relations, written and oral communications skills, including the ability to make presentations and manage media inquiries. Sound human relations and leadership skills also required.
 Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, manage and monitor the strategic operational plan as it relates to marketing, communications, membership and financial development for the Association.
2. Establish and manage a formal media relations program that tell the YMCA story to identified target groups.
3. Integration of other marketing opportunities including but not limited to the use of social media to improve community relations and effectively market the Association’s programs and services.
4. Oversee the development, production and distribution of Association wide publications and as deemed appropriate, branch specific publications.
5. Establish key messages and communicate them to staff and volunteers ensuring we present a clear and consistent image to our members and the community.
6. Oversee the design, message and content of the Association’s website ensuring it is user friendly and coordinates with other marketing efforts.
7. Develops the annual marketing budget; manages and implements the approved budget and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
8. Prepare statistical, analytical and narrative reports regarding the results and effectiveness of our marketing programs.
9. Provide counsel to branches and association staff in material development and ensure promotional plans and calendars are followed.
10.In conjunction with the leadership staff, represents the YMCA in community outreach opportunities, and in collaborations with the corporate sector and other non-profit service providers.
